Get That Hometown Feel at Oliver's Family Restaurant

Front dining area
It is one of those restaurants that you drive by almost every day but never stop. Right on one of the main roads through town and as one passes the thought jumps in your mind, " I really need to go there."

This restaurant is Oliver's located at 130 S. 5th Ave.  and was opened in June of 1983 by Paul and Peggy Gannon. Paul named the restaurant after a good friend Judge Oliver. However, Paul's children used to say that in was named for "All of Ours."

Oliver's has a large menu and the Operations Manager Rob Chavez says that some cooks can not handle it. With such a large menu it should not be hard to find something for anyone. What makes Oliver's even better is the prices; most items are under $15. One of Oliver's biggest selling points is that they prepare and cook all food at the restaurant. No processed food is bought in and they believe in trying to have very little food waste.

Boneless BBQ ribs
Trip Advisor rates Oliver's 48 out of 137 restaurants in Pocatello. The reviews from past patrons is for the most part favorable receiving a 3.5 stars out of 5.

So next time your driving down south 5th and your looking for good food and company why not give Oliver's a try.
